Empowering veterans and their families to connect with services, support and their community.
“Military service is about commitment to the nation. Servulink is about the nation’s commitment in return.”
At Servulink, we define a veteran as any person who is serving or has served in the Australian Defence Force.
The Challenge
The Australian veteran service and support environment is both large and complex. The wide variety of providers that exist to support Australian veterans and their families includes approximately 2800 Ex-Service Organisations, and around 4000 registered charities nation-wide. There are also many government and corporate entities declaring their support to veterans.
Easily and quickly identifying and accessing the services and support that are relevant presents a wicked problem. A lack of clarity from providers can result in service delivery failure, confusion, frustration, and negative mental health impacts – ironically among the very people that the services are designed to assist.
Added to this situation is the scourge of veteran suicide: Since 2001, more than ten times the number of ADF personnel killed on operations globally have taken their own lives. Most were under 30 years old.
This is a call to action. The needs of the younger veteran community, particularly around mental health and wellbeing support have never been clearer.
Our Service Offering
We are a unique, for purpose Social Enterprise, using technology to connect Australian veterans and their families to the services, support and communities that they need.
For our Veterans and their Families
We provide our veterans – serving and former serving – and their families free access to our national digital service catalogue so they can simply and securely navigate to those services (in-person or online) that will best support them through-life: at all stages of their military journey. We do this with discretion, dignity and respect – at no stage do we request or collect personally identifiable information. Access to Servulink is provided through our downloadable App.
For Service Providers
In conjunction with providing ‘Servulink as a Service’ (a technology platform supporting and enabling organisations to engage the Australian veteran community), our team provides specialist consulting services nationally, to the broader ecosystem of veteran service and support providers – government, and non-government. This support is designed to assist and enable service provider promotion, reach, connection, uptake and connectivity: to accelerate, optimise and sustain their performance over time.
Servulink is founded on the principles of simplicity, access, connection and collaboration. We believe in empowering and enabling those that have served Australia and their families with the tools and information they need to improve their lives. Such positive empowerment of this community through technology will transform the future veteran support landscape towards a more proactive, preventative approach – driving early, positive outcomes pre-emptively rather than reacting to problems or crises after they arise.
“For Bravery Trust, Servulink will unlock so many new connections that can support our community.”
